About Boys And Girls Club Of Thurston County

The Tenino Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County opened in 2016 and is housed in the Tenino Elementary School multi-purpose room. The average attendance is 60 youth per day. The Tenino Branch location includes Homework, Games, and Art Rooms; a gymnasium and outdoor playgrounds and fields. In the fall of 2019, the branch opened the Bruno & Evelyn Betti Teen Center located in a portable adjacent to the main clubhouse. The Teen Center averages a daily attendance of 10-18 youth and was made possible through a generous gift from the Betti Foundation.

The Tenino Branch offers programs and activities to prepare young people for real-world success by offering experiences that promote Healthy Lifestyles, Academic Success and Good Character & Citizenship. The Club provides academic support, an array of programs, enriching games and activities, time to play and enjoy the company of peers, and positive adult role models dedicated to supporting the social and emotional growth of the youth they serve.

The tutoring program, Get Good Grades (G3), is a notable area of focus at the Tenino Club along with numerous activities focused on healthy habits, good citizenship and strong academics.

The Tenino Branch partners with organizations such as the Tenino School District, the Lions Club, VFW, the Tenino Chamber as well as the local Fire Department.
